Suicide Squad! Will Smith! Margot Robbie! Bad Guys!

Your first look at Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and the cast of David Ayer's Suicide Squad.

It looks like DC is looking to steal a little bit of Marvel’s thunder this weekend. David Ayer just tweeted out this picture of the cast of Suicide Squad in full costume.

You can take a look at a high res pic of the cast here. From left to right we have Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, my girlfriend Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.

First thoughts? A few things we’re seeing here look a little cheesy. Specifically Will Smith’s spandex and Jai Courtney’s gloves. A little too cosplay. Obviously, these are small issues. Overall, I think this looks pretty great, and feel like it’s something that will probably grow on me. I’m wondering if Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Killer Croc is going to be handled with makeup or CGI. You can do amazing things with makeup, but I’m having flashbacks to Thing in the last two Fantastic Four movies. Also, I think it’s interesting that Leto’s Joker is nowhere to be found.

Anyway, let’s let our discussion on the topic end here. I’m sure the internet won’t have any strong opinions about this.

UPDATE: After tweeting out the pic of the entire cast, Ayer sent out another of Will Smith in his full Deadshot costume. Not bad. Although I have to believe this is photoshopped, and not the actual mask.
