Official Synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Released!

Warner Bros. officially releases the synopsis for Batman v Superman, starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.

It’s that time of year again! Licensing Expo 2015 is in full swing. It’s a magical time where marketing professionals from all over the world come together and show us the new and innovative ways we’ll be convinced to shop at Sears and eat at McDonalds for another year!

As if all the news about brand extension and trademarks weren’t enough, Expo-Heads are also treated to information about the next year’s hottest new movies. And this year, we got our first look at the official synopsis for Batman v Superman! Check it out below.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.  And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

This lines up with what we’ve been hearing about the film so far. And keep in mind that this new threat will probably make short work of the feud between Batman and Superman. I mean, they’re going to have to kiss and make up sometime if they’re both going to join forces for 2017’s Justice League.

Beyond that, however, there are still a ton of unanswered questions. How do Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman fit into all this? What about characters like Aquaman who we’ve heard will be making appearances in the movie? Come on, licensing experts! Convincing the Chinese to drink more Miller Light is great, but we need more things spoiled!
